Sanya district

Sanya is one of my favorite district in Tokyo. I like the color of the town. Orange.

I feel nostalgy when I got here, you know. Beautiful but dirty. and stinx.

Smell piss everywhere in this area.

There are lots of cheap hotels, we call it Doya, and lots of workers sleep in there.

Some of the cheapest one is like a 1,000 yen a night to 3,000 yen for higher grade room.

You can get a cheap room unless you don't care sleeping with another workers who are actually

living in that places.

I never got room for a night before, but lots of back packers from all round the world stayed

"doya" for few days. Because Sanya locates near down town Tokyo, easy to access to most part

of sight-seeing place in the city.

Every end of the year, workers in this area gathered together, not freeze to death, not starb to

death because the govenment is close Dec. 27th to Jan. 9th, that means these workers cannot

get a job from the govenment. We call this gathering "Etto-Etsunen Tousou".

Workers and homeless got together in the little play-ground called Tamaime-Koen.

They occupy this play-ground and using fire illegally. Because of that, Anti-riot police

surround this area for not to make homeless to go out from this play-ground.

Some of their friends died. Most of them were killed by Yakuza or anti-group of workers.

Stab to death. Yakuza hose down the workers' bonefire to try to make them freeze to death.

Workers in Tamahime never forget about them and their sadness.

Every years since 2005, I bring brankets and used clothes to Tamahime.

I know they want those. And also bring my camera to shoot workers.

Because lots of people don't know what happening here.

These guys are my future. may be. I don't know. Who knows.
